Summersaults and lovely little movements

Posted under posted by Mommy & In the Tummy

Well, the new little one is moving lots these days! And I simply love it!!! I don’t remember the first time I felt Aiden move, but I do believe that I’m feeling this boy’s movements much sooner. Could be that I am just attune to it this time around. The other morning while giving Aiden-boy his 6:00am feeding, I felt the new little guy start moving! It was one of the most precious moments. I felt as though I was holding and cuddling both of my boys at the same time- for the first time! Oh how I look forward to those times… As I sat there I was thinking about all the good times, all the special times we have ahead of us. And it made me cherish the special time that we have now. Life is such a miracle, so beautiful, so amazing! Feeling that little one inside me is truly breathtaking. I love to tell Michael when I feel this new little one moving inside me. It is something that I want to share with others! I want them to be included in this blessing :)

Aiden is going to be a big brother!

Can you believe it? Oh my goodness. Thank you Lord!!! What a blessing! :-) About a week and a half ago I was feverishly weeding the garden and obsessing about making it look tidy. I know its too early for the “nesting syndrome” but I wondered anyway. So, just before hopping in the shower I tried the test and wha-la! Was I actually seeing TWO purple lines??? I couldn’t believe it! It was too good to be true. I let it set for another minute and the line didn’t go anywhere. In fact- it got darker. :) Yes, we were going to have another little one and our boy was going to be a BIG brother! For 45 seconds I entertained the thought of waiting for a special moment to tell Michael. Maybe I would have him take us out to dinner or something like that…. Nope! I was too excited to wait. In one motion I swooped Aiden up and told him “lets go tell Daddy”! We walked toward the studio and said “Babe-come here”, to which I got the romantic reply of “what? I’m working”.  :-) We walked through the door grinning and said “where are we going to put the other baby?”. He jumped up, grinning, to excited and hopeful to believe it. There was much rejoicing.  On Fathers Day both of our families came over and we shared the joyous news with them! Which followed with more rejoicing, hugging, crying and overall happiness. Our parents love, love, LOVE being Grandparents- and our siblings love being Aunts and Uncles! With the next post I’ll put up some pictures from that wonderful day. Happiness….. Thank you Lord!!!

Fathers day!

Posted under posted by Mommy

The day started with Michael (Daddy-boy) and Aiden sleeping in. Aren’t they adorable?img_1434.jpg  While they slept, somebody wrapped Michael’s presents and got the cards all ready! img_1435.jpg   After he woke up, Aiden helped Daddy read all of his cards (from Mommy, Aiden and our little blueberry who hasn’t been born yet) and open his presents. Daddy loved everything and so did Aiden! You can see how excited he is about all the proceedings!img_1436.jpgimg_1437.jpgimg_1438.jpgimg_1439.jpgimg_1440.jpgimg_1441.jpg Yay! That afternoon our families came over so we could celebrate Fathers day together-with our Fathers! And celebrate Michael being a Daddy too! Also, we wanted both of our families to be there so we could share the good news with them! We slyly signed their Fathers Day cards “With lots of love,  Michael, Dani, Aiden and new baby”. Once they read that- the tears, shouts, and smiles were present in great numbers :) img_1449.jpgimg_1450.jpgimg_1448.jpg

Helping Mommy with Laundry…

Posted under posted by Mommy

Don’t ask me why, but growing up as a little kid (and as a young woman) I often put various articles of clothing on my head (usually undies-ha!) and it always cracked me up! I’d get a good laugh from others too… I guess I’m starting all over again with the boy! Poor, poor, baby boy….img_1430.jpg

Cute pictures of the boy…

Posted under Out of the Tummy

with Daddy with Mommy  his little goatee  The last picture shows what we affectionately call his “goatee”. He has lost pretty much all of his baby hair- except for that little patch! Too cute huh? Anywho, he is starting to grow a fresh crop of hair and I wanted to catch the goatee before it was gone. Sigh… He is growing too fast!

Visiting with Great-Grandma and the Bests

Posted under Out of the Tummy

Today we visited with Great Grandma (Berg-on Mommy’s side) and the Best family! In the picture you can see Tracy and Anthony- their children Ayana and Ryan are playing out back with Marci. We had a lovely day of food and fellowship :) img_1286.jpgimg_1288.jpg

Solid food.

Posted under Out of the Tummy

Well, our little man is doing so very well! Pretty much everyone is amazed by him (as we think they should be- but then again we are quite biased), and even his pediatrician said that he interacts on the same level as an 8 month old- and he is only 4 months! His weight is right where it should be (50 percentile) but boy is he tall (95 percentile)!! Just like his Daddy…. :) Along with this growth comes changes- the biggest one being big boy food! Below you can see a little tiny clip of him tasting rice cereal for the first time and eating from a spoon for the first time. Enjoy!   Sorry-but it wouldn’t load! I’ll try to figure this out and have something posted soon…
