Can you believe it? Oh my goodness. Thank you Lord!!! What a blessing!
About a week and a half ago I was feverishly weeding the garden and obsessing about making it look tidy. I know its too early for the “nesting syndrome” but I wondered anyway. So, just before hopping in the shower I tried the test and wha-la! Was I actually seeing TWO purple lines??? I couldn’t believe it! It was too good to be true. I let it set for another minute and the line didn’t go anywhere. In fact- it got darker.
Yes, we were going to have another little one and our boy was going to be a BIG brother! For 45 seconds I entertained the thought of waiting for a special moment to tell Michael. Maybe I would have him take us out to dinner or something like that…. Nope! I was too excited to wait. In one motion I swooped Aiden up and told him “lets go tell Daddy”! We walked toward the studio and said “Babe-come here”, to which I got the romantic reply of “what? I’m working”. :-) We walked through the door grinning and said “where are we going to put the other baby?”. He jumped up, grinning, to excited and hopeful to believe it. There was much rejoicing. On Fathers Day both of our families came over and we shared the joyous news with them! Which followed with more rejoicing, hugging, crying and overall happiness. Our parents love, love, LOVE being Grandparents- and our siblings love being Aunts and Uncles! With the next post I’ll put up some pictures from that wonderful day. Happiness….. Thank you Lord!!!

After he woke up, Aiden helped Daddy read all of his cards (from Mommy, Aiden and our little blueberry who hasn’t been born yet) and open his presents. Daddy loved everything and so did Aiden! You can see how excited he is about all the proceedings!

Yay! That afternoon our families came over so we could celebrate Fathers day together-with our Fathers! And celebrate Michael being a Daddy too! Also, we wanted both of our families to be there so we could share the good news with them! We slyly signed their Fathers Day cards “With lots of love, Michael, Dani, Aiden and new baby”. Once they read that- the tears, shouts, and smiles were present in great numbers

The last picture shows what we affectionately call his “goatee”. He has lost pretty much all of his baby hair- except for that little patch! Too cute huh? Anywho, he is starting to grow a fresh crop of hair and I wanted to catch the goatee before it was gone. Sigh… He is growing too fast!
